Role and Responsibilities

The Student Minister is the lead minister, providing direct oversight for Youth ministries 6th – 12th grade) and for volunteer leaders.

General responsibilities of the position

• Be equipped to provide spiritual oversight to the Children and Youth.
• Focused on making disciples of Jesus Christ.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to plan and execute ministry events throughout the year.
• Recruit children and youth ministry volunteers.
• Attend and participate in all Grace Maricopa ministry gatherings.
• Attend weekly church staff meetings.

General character and theological requirements of the position

• Have a vibrant, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Must be in full agreement with the Grace Maricopa Statement of Faith.
• Possess a genuine call to pastoral ministry at Grace Maricopa (see 1 Timothy 4:15).
• A communicator and collaborator.
• A visionary and possess the ability to actualize vision.
• A creative problem solver.
• Must have some theological training and in pursuit of an accredited Master of Divinity degree.
• Desires to build Christian community within Grace Maricopa.
• Must attend all church staff meetings.Additional Notes
