Responsibilities of the Student Minister Position

• Teach weekly classes and delegate to other qualified people to teach.
• Work with youth coaches to design and implement youth classes and activities.
• Continue building the team of youth coaches.
• Reach out to the community and become a part of it.
• Lead middle school and high school teen camp(s) (This is a camp held at HCC. A team of volunteers has been established that are very willing to help.).
• Be welcoming and encouraging to teens and their families.
• Reach out to the lost.
• Work with Church staff on Church-wide events.

Job Description

Hope Christian Church (HCC) in Augusta, West Virginia, seeks a person to fill the role of Student Minister, working with middle and high school students.

HCC is located in Augusta, WV. Augusta is a rural area located about 90 minutes from Washington, D.C., and 30 miles west of Winchester, Va. HCC is a church with a regular attendance of 300 on an average Sunday morning.

HCC believes in the importance of youth ministry and has a team of dedicated youth coaches who are ready to help in the ministry. Our building facilities have grown substantially over the years, including a gymnasium, children's wing, offices, and classrooms. We are an active Church that wants to reach the lost, and, as such, are looking for a spiritually strong, energetic man who wants to reach out into the community and share Jesus with teenagers
