About Life Community Church

At Life Community Church, we believe Jesus is powerfully at work—changing hearts, restoring lives, and

advancing His kingdom. Over the past five years, God has grown our church family to over 400 people,

and our youth ministry is now thriving with more than 90 students. Under Christ's leadership, we are

becoming a unified, gospel-centered community where elders, staff, and members share a common

purpose: to love like Jesus and live on mission together. The leadership is deeply committed to cultivating this kind of culture—one shaped by grace, truth, and Spirit-empowered courage. Inspired by Jesus' prayer in John 17, we aim to be known by our love for one

another, forming authentic relationships that reflect the unity and joy of the gospel. Our mission is simple

and compelling: to help people experience new life in Christ by KNOWING God, GROWING in

relationship with Him and others, and GOING to make disciples.

We are intentional about reaching our oikos—the 8 to 15 people God has placed in our everyday

lives—believing that through ordinary relationships, God is telling an extraordinary story of redemption. At

Life Community Church, we're not just growing a church—we're following Jesus together into a life of

purpose, transformation, and multiplying impact.

Job Summary

We're seeking a passionate, Spirit-filled disciple to serve as our Student Ministries Pastor,

leading 6th-12th grade students to know God, grow in relationship, and go make disciples. With

a heart for gospel-centered transformation, you'll shepherd students, families, and volunteers to

make Jesus famous by fostering personal relationships with Christ through salvation, baptism,

and wholehearted service. You'll champion Life Community Church's mission and values,

partnering with parents to create a vibrant, Christ-centered youth culture that's both fun and

deeply intentional.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cast Vision & Lead with Purpose

○ Develop and communicate a God-directed vision for Life Youth Ministry, aligning

with the church's mission to make Jesus famous.

○ Collaborate with the student ministries team through weekly planning meetings,

executing programming, and preparing for trips, retreats, and conferences.

2. Shepherd Students & Families

○ Pastor Middle School and High School students by knowing their stories, praying

for them, and investing in their lives. Empower your team to do the same.

○ Build authentic relationships with parents, equipping them to disciple their

students and keeping them informed about ministry goals and events.

3. Teach & Disciple

○ Teach Scripture with clarity and relevance, leading the majority of Middle School

Ministry (MSM) meetings and overseeing High School teaching.

○ Create engaging, Christ-centered environments through Sunday mornings,

Tuesday/Wednesday evenings, small groups, and events that emphasize

discipleship and evangelism.

4. Empower Volunteers

○ Recruit, train, and lead a team of Life Group leaders to mentor students, facilitate

discussions, and model Christlikeness.

○ Equip volunteers to provide pastoral care and counsel students, referring to

trained counselors when needed.

5. Mobilize for Mission

○ Equip students to boldly share their faith through local outreach, service projects,

and short-term mission opportunities (e.g., Hume Lake).

○ Integrate students into the broader church, encouraging them to serve and live

missionally, blessing the 8-15 people God has placed in their lives.

6. Engage the Community

○ Invest in the Paso Robles, Templeton, and Atascadero school culture by

attending sports events, meeting students, and supporting administrators or

teachers.

7. Contribute to Church Life

○ Participate in the weekly service review team to evaluate weekend services and

provide feedback.

○ Occasionally teach or preach in adult services and collaborate on church-wide

initiatives.

8. Manage Resources

○ Oversee the Life Youth budget, ensuring good stewardship while enabling

powerful ministry.

○ Plan creative themes and events that resonate with youth culture.
