Student Ministry Associate
Job Overview
The Student Ministry Associate supports the student pastors in running the ministry by assisting and leading various student programs, events, and activities. This role involves working closely with volunteers, students, and their families to foster a supportive and engaging ministry environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Ministry Support:
- Assist and lead in student programming, including Connect Groups, events, trips, leadership development, teaching, preaching, outreach, and aligning with the ministry’s vision and mission.
- Volunteer Management:
- Initiate recruiting and onboarding new volunteers.
- Assist in recruiting, developing, and training volunteers for various roles, including Connect Group teachers, camp volunteers, small group leaders, and other positions.
- Teaching and School Support:
- Assist in curriculum development, planning, and teaching for Wednesday mid-week worship gatherings and Sunday Connect Groups.
- Be willing to speak at local FCAs and chapels when available.
- Attend school and community events to support youth involvement.
- Event Coordination:
- Help brainstorm and execute both major and minor events.
- Plan and oversee events as assigned to ensure they run smoothly and uphold our ministry values.
- Relationship Building:
- Build healthy discipleship relationships with students.
- Partner with families by helping them be the primary discipler of their homes.
- Communicate and engage effectively with parents of students.
- Design and Communication:
- Create graphics and social media posts using Canva or other design programs.
- Exhibit strong writing skills for various communication needs.
- Use G-Suite proficiently for various administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Passion for working with students and fostering their spiritual growth.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak in front of large groups.
- Proficiency in design programs such as Canva.
- Familiarity with engaging students on social media platforms.
- Familiarity with G-Suite applications.
