Job Overview

The church is seeking a Student Pastor candidate to join the healthy student ministry team and continue to build Gospel impact in reaching middle school and high school students with the life changing message of Jesus.

Job Description

• Must be ordained to the Gospel.
• Lead in a discipleship program for the youth.
• Lead church and staff in accordance with church by-laws and policies that apply to youth.
• Manage budgets given by finance team and periodically review spending and plans for future events.
• Participate in regular visitation ministry.
• Work with the ministerial staff, appropriate committees, and program leaders in planning and coordinating all youth ministries of the church.
• Lead in enlisting leaders and volunteers for the youth ministry.
• Conduct special training programs for youth workers.
• Advise in the use of program materials, equipment, supplies, and space by youth small groups.
• Periodically review discipleship materials with appropriate staff or committees and bring recommendations for needed changes to the church.
• Plan and direct youth fellowships, retreats, and mission trips.
• Plan and direct parenting seminars and workshops.
• Be available to provide counsel to youth and parents as needed.
• Lead in a youth visitation program.
• Connect with and develop relationships with school leaders within the community.
• Be available to speak and/or visit in the schools.
• Conduct weekly youth Bible study and worship services.
• Remain informed of current trends in youth education programs and youth culture.
• Any other duties as assigned.
