Student Pastor Job Description

Founded in 2002 by Pastor Kirk Jones—who continues to faithfully lead as our Senior Pastor—our church has grown alongside one of the fastest-growing areas in the state. We are located just 15 minutes from Baton Rouge, Louisiana's capital and home to LSU and the LSU Tigers. Baton Rouge is a vibrant city with deep cultural roots, a strong collegiate presence, and a wide variety of opportunities for outreach, recreation, and community engagement.

Our surrounding area includes four major high schools, each with 1,800+ students, along with rapidly growing middle schools—creating an incredible mission field for student ministry. We are already actively connected to these schools through partnerships with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), giving us consistent and meaningful access to students on their campuses.

Our Wednesday night student services consistently draw 250+ students, supported by a dedicated team of over 60 volunteer leaders who are passionate about discipling the next generation. This is not a ministry that's merely holding steady—it's growing, and we believe the best is still ahead.
