Student Pastor

ABOUT MUD CREEK

Founded in 1804, Mud Creek has been a beacon in the beautiful mountains of Hendersonville, NC for 220 years. Mud Creek is in a season of revitalization with a new senior pastor and has grown from 450 in weekly attendance to 600 in the past year. We are currently searching for a new Student Pastor as our previous Student Pastor has transitioned into a new role as our Executive Pastor. Currently, our student ministry runs between 30-35 students, mostly in Middle School. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right individual, with long-term vision, to form a faithful and fruitful student ministry.

Situated on over 23 acres, Mud Creek's campus includes a 1200 capacity sanctuary, a multipurpose Student Center, Kids Center, a large warehouse that houses our Mission Impact Center, a commercial kitchen, a large park and playground for outdoor events, two mission houses, ample parking, and room to grow.

Our people come eager to see the Lord move and feel His presence in our services. Our congregation is typically very expressive during worship in song and preaching. We enjoy a blended style of worship that includes traditional hymns set to modern arrangements and contemporary song selections that exalt the Lord. We also have a thriving Sunday School program for all ages.

We are a vibrant mission-minded family, serving our community in countless ways. Our region is experiencing rapid growth due to our beautiful scenery and friendly community. There are almost 108,000 people living within 10 miles of our campus. Our community is becoming increasingly diverse, which has created an opportunity to reach new people groups that live right on our doorstep.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, our church actively engaged our community by distributing essential supplies. In addition, our church campus served as a Disaster Relief Operations Center for the Baptists on Mission, housing and feeding volunteers for over a month, while processing aid requests and coordinating disaster relief efforts.

The next Student Pastor will inherit a group of students who are passionate about the Lord and his mission in the world. Nevertheless, he will have the opportunity to reimagine and revitalize the student ministry as he feels God lead.
