Position Description: Student Pastor at River Run Church

As the Student Pastor at River Run Church, you will play a vital role in cultivating a movement of Christ among the youth in East Orlando. Your mission is to invest in the next generation as they become future leaders and influential members of their communities, focusing on spiritual growth, engagement, and service. This position requires passion, dedication, and relational skills to create a thriving ministry that draws students closer to Christ and encourages them to live out their faith.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Community Engagement: Actively build relationships with students in the local community, including schools and other organizations, to create opportunities for ministry and influence for Christ.
2. Partnership Development: Establish and develop partnerships with like-minded organizations and groups that share a commitment to impacting students.
3. Relationship Building: Intentionally cultivate strong and appropriate relationships with students to create a safe and supportive environment.
4. Program Planning & Implementation: Organize and oversee opportunities throughout the school year and summer months where students can learn about and experience a personal relationship with Christ.
5. Leadership Development: Equip and train students to become leaders, encouraging their involvement in the church and student ministry.
6. Ministry Alignment: Ensure that student ministry aligns with the culture, mission, and vision of River Run Church, fostering synergy within the church body.
7. Mentorship: Provide mentoring opportunities for summer interns and young leaders within the ministry.
8. Parent Engagement: Equip and support parents in maximizing their influence in their teens' spiritual journeys.
9. Best Practices Continuously learn about best practices in student ministry, staying informed and sharing insights with the church community.
10. Communication: Clearly and consistently communicate with students, leaders, and parents, sharing stories of impact and information about ministry events.
11. Administrative Skills: Develop strong administrative and organizational skills to manage budgets, work with the Church Administrator, and ensure the efficient operation of the ministry.
12. Integration with Church Family: Create a ministry culture that encourages students to serve in various church areas outside of student ministry.
13. Pastoral Care: Provide appropriate pastoral care and counseling to students and families as needed.

Accountability:

You will report directly to the Lead Pastor and Elders, adhering closely to the church's vision and mission. You are responsible for maintaining conduct standards among students and volunteer staff, ensuring a safe environment. Your role includes overseeing volunteer screening and implementing safety standards for all activities, alongside ensuring consistency in curriculum across grade levels.
