Our church is in an exciting season of growth, and we are blessed with a healthy and vibrant student ministry. We are looking for someone to lead our student ministry (grades 6 through 12). If you have a passion for middle and high school students and God is leading you to pursue this opportunity, we look forward to talking to you!

Responsibilities:

Ministry Development

• Develop and lead weekly discipleship environments for middle school and high school students
• Create and run events that foster growth and outreach for the student ministry
• Engage well and have a good rapport with parents
• Resourcing parents with insights as to how to be the primary disciple makers of their children
• Recruit, train, serve, and lead student ministry volunteers
• Develop relationships with schools to seek evangelism opportunities and ways to serve schools and students
• Successfully model the life of a follower of Christ to the next generation
• Envision, design, and implement church-wide events and programs for students (DNow, retreats, camps, etc)

Collaboration and Leadership

• Work closely with other church staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers to support the overall mission and values of the church
• Collaborate with other ministries (e.g., children's, college and young professionals) to create integrated and holistic ministry opportunities

Teaching and Preaching

• Teaching students on a regular basis
• Develop and deliver relevant and engaging content that addresses the unique challenges and opportunities faced by students
• Occasionally teach or preach at churchwide services as needed

Administrative Duties

• Develop and manage the student ministry budget in collaboration with church administration
• Maintain accurate records of participants, activities, and outcomes to assess the effectiveness of the ministry
• Communicate effectively with the congregation about upcoming events, programs, and opportunities within the Student Ministry

Qualifications:

• Passionate follower of Jesus Christ
• Called by God to serve in full-time Christian ministry
• At least 2-3 years of experience in related ministry field
• Seminary degree or working toward seminary degree
• Upholds the 2000 Baptist Faith & Message

Our Story:

The dream of a new church in the Evans area began with eight people in 1983. The church was soon established and grew with the thriving community. God has been faithful to West Acres. Thousands have been led to Christ, and God has sent us throughout the world to proclaim the Gospel. We are in a sweet and exciting season and looking forward to God continuing to use our church to reach the nations for Christ!
