Students and Families Minister

Our mission is to reach students and families so that they will be increasingly transformed by the gospel of Jesus, devoted to the community of Jesus, and committed to the mission of Jesus. The students and families minister will develop, implement, and oversee the ministry strategies for each of these ministries, with particular emphasis on leading the student ministry. Anticipated Time Commitments 1. Doing/preparing for ministry: forty hours per week, off on Saturday and one day during the week, except for emergencies, events, and special occasions. 2. Participating in meetings and training minimum one hour a week. Responsibilities/Duties Student Ministry: 1. Develop and implement a curriculum scope and sequence that provides a wholistic teaching strategy for both Sunday School and Mid-Week student gatherings. 2. Meet regularly with student ministry adult leaders for prayer, planning, and equipping for student ministry. 3. Provide counseling and discipleship to students on individual basis. 4. Plan at least one yearly youth retreat and one summer camp or summer mission trip for the purpose of spiritual growth and gospel proclamation. 5. Develop and manage youth budget. Family Ministry: 1. Develop, implement, and oversee the ministry strategy for exhorting, equipping, and encouraging families at FBC Fort Payne. 2. Develop and promote a wholistic discipleship strategy that connects discipleship efforts between the church and home. 3. Regularly provide resources and trainings that equip parents in the discipleship of their children. 4. Assist children's ministry director volunteer recruiting and training and developing and implementing a curriculum scope and sequence. 5. Oversee the implementation of the Child Protection Policy of FBC Fort Payne.
