Summer Intern (Female): Zion PCA

Job Description:

• 8-week paid part-time summer internship (housing provided if needed)
• Average 20 hours/week $3500 for the summer ($21.87 per hour)
• Working with children's ministry to aid in 3 main summer Children's Ministry programs: Pray for Me Initiative, VBS, and Summer Spanish Camp

Zion PCA is currently searching for a female children's ministry intern to serve from May 12- July 3, 2025 (approximate dates based on intern availability).

• Help prepare Pray for Me prayer cards:
• • Communicating with parents for prayer requests
  • Gathering photos and creating Pray for Me cards
• Input Children's Ministry data from Pray for Me in planning center to bolster family communication
• Help facilitate Zion VBS (June 2-6) through:
  • Assistant to the VBS Director
  • Painting and prep nights
  • Scheduling and communicating with volunteers
  • Crossover Team training
• Mission team Spanish camp planning and facilitation
• Final capstone Children's and Family Ministry event
• Any other duties related to the scope of the internship

Goals:

• Growth and discipleship through working with 3 different ministry leaders at Zion
• Equip the summer intern with the knowledge and skills to lead a children's program in the context of the local church
• Complete the internship with a clear understanding of her gifts, call, and areas for growth
• Additional ministry focuses available based on the interns' ministry goals (counseling, youth, etc.)

Position Qualifications:

• A born-again Christian who trusts in Christ alone for salvation
• Commitment to the Reformed tradition of the faith
• Teachable and self-motivated
• Humility, self-awareness, and ability to ask for help from God and others
• A desire to work with children in the local church
• College-age or beyond
• Ability to handle and execute multiple tasks simultaneously
