Job Summary: Provide oversight of Media at all campuses of Highview Baptist Church by means of spiritual leadership of staff and volunteer media teams, technical proficiency, and operational effectiveness. This position is full-time salaried and exempt under the classification of support staff. Responsibilities:General:– Champion the Highview mission, vision, and values. – Participate in weekly worship staff and planning meetings, weekly campus staff meetings, and monthly all-staff meetings.– Participate in monthly Media Director meetings with Operations Pastor, discussing current and upcoming media needs, projects, financial expenditures, and other responsibilities at each campus and for Whitefield Academy.– All other duties as assigned by Senior Pastor or other Executive Staff. Spiritual leadership:– Lead staff and volunteer Media teams by modeling a vibrant walk with Jesus, practicing spiritual disciplines daily, living above reproach, and exemplifying the Fruit of the Spirit.– Recruit, develop, and empower current and potential media staff and volunteers to grow in character and competency through personal encouragement, training, and equipping.– Exemplify and encourage team members to be active participants in weekly worship services, community groups, and discipleship groups. Technical proficiency:– Pursue consistent professional growth in all aspects of media and technical support.– Perform and/or coordinate setup of all audio and visual requirements for worship services and events related to Highview Baptist Church and Whitefield Academy.– Develop a working knowledge of all A/V equipment operated by Highview and Whitefield.– Maintain relationships with vendors who can assist in planning and implementation of media-related capital projects, repairs, and ongoing maintenance.– Steward current media assets by taking care of preventative maintenance and ensuring reliability for worship services, community groups, weekday gatherings, and other events.– Be a resource to campus pastors by finding creative solutions to media aspects of ministry needs and seeing them through from planning to successful implementation.– Provide all resources related to media that are requested through Service U or other resource request means, including help desk. Operational effectiveness:– Manage and maintain a high degree of quality in the execution of sound, video, and lighting for the weekend worship services at all campuses and other auditorium events for the church or Whitefield Academy (e.g. weekly chapel).– Oversee media teams at all campuses by coordinating media support for ministry events, developing competencies, and fostering unity among staff to support effective worship services.– Ensure on-screen media (ProPresenter) are updated and accurate at each campus for weekend worship services. This includes importing preaching pastors' notes/outlines into ProPresenter and helping create graphics (in coordination with Communications Director) for sermon slides, song lyrics, Scripture slides, and announcements—often on short notice.– Schedule and coordinate volunteers for weekend services, including sound and lighting technicians, IMAG, media presentation, and those videotaping and recording weekend services.– Oversee and lead planning of media budgets at each campus, working together with campus worship leaders and campus pastors to plan for necessary expenditures in the following year during the annual budget season, and advocate for requests to Operations pastor.– Tag and track all media hardware in asset management software to enable accurate records of deferred maintenance and plan for future replacement.– Purchase and coordinate installation of technical related equipment as needed and with approval of Operations Pastor.– Support monthly All-Staff gatherings by meeting audio and visual needs in coordination with worship team.– Coordinate with Communications Director to plan and execute sermon series and seasonal stage design. – Lead Media teams to support execution of Combined Worship gatherings and other annual all-campus or ministry-specific events (i.e. VBS, Student Impact Week, Fall Retreat), as needed. What success looks like:– Thriving relationship with Jesus and commitment to membership at Highview.– Job duties and other assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner with a high standard of excellence and confidentiality, as appropriate.– A growing understanding of the practices, procedures, and culture at Highview. – Highview and Whitefield staff feel supported in media needs. Qualifications/Desired Skills:– Communication. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.– Technology. Associate degree in related field, or other relevant certifications.– Problem Solving. An ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently.– Connector. Able to build relationships across ministry teams.
