Woodland Heights Baptist Church is seeking a passionate individual excited about reaching people for Christ using his or her gifts in technology? As Technical Director, you will work alongside our Pastor and Worship Pastor as well as with a committed and dedicated volunteer team using creative technology to craft worship experiences that draw people into a deeper connection with God and one another. We are located in Conway, AR. Conway offers a blend of suburban and small-town living with a focus on education and family-friendly activities. It's known for its numerous parks, a vibrant downtown area, and a strong sense of community, particularly due to its three colleges. Conway is located in central Arkansas, offering convenient access to the state capital, Little Rock, which is about a 30-45 minute drive away. Position Summary: The Technical Director position exists to oversee service production and weekly ministry aspects related to audio, video and lighting. This person will be proficient in the skills needed to produce a service from a technical level and serve as lead creative for the church ensuring that the use of technology is clear and effective. Time Commitment: Full Time Employee including Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings and office hours 8:00-4:00pm M-TR. • Live Production (80%) Setup, run, maintain and train volunteers in how to use equipment and software necessary for Sunday morning and special services. o Serve as Producer of Sunday morning Technical Team o Serve as primary FOH sound engineer o Direct volunteer team to assist in effectively producing all live services o Direct live stream of worship services o Prepare stage for rehearsals, worship services and events o Assist worship team with tech needs during rehearsals o Coordinate all lighting scenes and creative elements for the weekly worship services o Oversee and approve set-up of sound and video equipment for events and facility rental o Assist College, Students and Children's ministry with weekly technical needs o Design, research and implement upgrades, enhancements and innovative technologies to all A/V systems in conjunction with the worship pastor on a regular basis • Content Production (10%) Help create gospel centered and engaging weekly content for the church and community. o Produce weekly announcement video and church wide email o Edit and upload weekly sermons to website and social media o Record and produce weekly Sunday Talks podcast with the pastor o Produce ministry promotional videos as needed o Produce graphics and video content for social media accounts o Update church website as needed • Team Development and Training (10%) o Train, equip and encourage volunteers to serve in tech roles o Plan and implement annual training events for all volunteers o Schedule volunteers for Sunday morning and other services o Schedule volunteers and staff to record weekly announcement video o Hold Tech Team staff and volunteers to standards of excellence in all team functions. Ensure promptness to meetings and events, team unity, job performance, knowledge growth, etc. o Create a culture of teamwork and growth through encouragement and accountability o Cast vision for the future of the Tech Team • Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Associate or bachelor's degree (in AVL production and/or technical systems preferred) or related experience in a similar field · 2-3 years of experience in church production or a related field o Advanced knowledge of audio systems and audio production ▪ Behringer Wing sound console and other sound equipment ▪ Behringer Powerplay P16 personal monitor system ▪ Blackmagic live streaming equipment o Advanced knowledge of stage and theatrical lighting ▪ Lightkey and DMX programming o General knowledge of Microsoft applications and Apple computer products ▪ ProPresenter and Planning Center Online ▪ Canva o General knowledge of video production ▪ Canon video cameras ▪ DSLR camera ▪ Final Cut Pro or other video editing software ▪ Weekly Podcast recording and production (Logic Pro X, audio interfaces) Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor and/or Worship Pastor.
