Position Title: Theological Resource Trainer
Organization: Serving Workers for the Harvest (SWH)
Location: Remote with preference given to candidates based in Texas; includes frequent travel to multiple domestic and international locations
Reports To: VP of Global Advancement
Position Type: Full-time

Job Summary: The Theological Resource Trainer will provide spiritual leadership and guidance to new servant-leaders. The Trainer is responsible for developing theological curriculum, sharing scriptural knowledge, and equipping missionaries and partner ministries to effectively serve their communities. This role requires a deep commitment to advancing the Gospel, strong teaching abilities, and a willingness to travel frequently.
Job Description
Spiritual Qualifications:
- Maintains a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as a baptized believer
- Possesses a passion to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ in all nations with the ability and experience to effectively present the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly and concisely
- Believes in the mission and vision of SWH
- Agreement with and willingness to live by the doctrinal convictions as set forth in the Serving Workers for the Harvest Statement of Faith
- Demonstrates integrity, humility, resilience, and a servant's heart as described in the Bible (1 Timothy 3; Proverbs 31)
- Possesses a deep understanding of Scripture and church doctrine necessary for effective teaching and mentoring
Education/Experience:
- Required: high school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Formal theological training, including Bible school or seminary-level education
- Preferred: At least five years of full-time ministry experience within a cross-cultural context
Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building healthy relationships
- Ability to effectively engage diverse cross-cultural audiences

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive theological training materials and resources that align with SWH's mission, vision, and statement of faith
- Create curriculum covering biblical doctrines, practical ministry skills, and cross-cultural considerations
- Participate in the development and implementation of online resources and training platforms

Training and Mentorship:
- Teach and mentor new servant-leaders in effective ministry techniques, fostering a deep understanding of Scripture and church doctrine
- Build and lead a team of theological trainers willing to support domestic and international cross-cultural biblical and doctrinal training
- Provide spiritual guidance and answer theological questions with grace and patience
- Prepare missionaries and partner ministries for cross-cultural engagement, promoting sensitivity and adaptability to different cultural contexts
- Facilitate self-reliant discipleship approaches that align with local church contexts

Support and Encouragement:
- Offer support and encouragement to missionaries and partner ministries, helping them address practical needs and overcome challenges
- Share personal testimony and faith experiences to inspire and strengthen others
- Coach missionaries in building effective community relationships that lead to church planting and growth
- Promote a passionate commitment to missionary work and the spread of the Gospel

General:
- Provide regular updates and reports to supporters and the organization on ministry progress and challenges (Is this appropriate for this position?)
- Collaborate with SWH staff to foster growth in accomplishing the goals of reaching, discipling, and multiplying the kingdom of Christ
Compensation: SWH employees, deputized to raise funds for the organization, cultivate partnerships with churches, individuals, and organizations to secure their financial support. Compensation is directly tied to an approved budget, which includes both personal and ministry expenses.
