US Donor Engagement Specialist
Job Overview
To participate in the God's mission of love, reconciliation, and transformation to people of all nations by serving the U.S. Mennonite Brethren (MB) church on God's mission, engaging people in prayer and financial support for missions, helping people to recognize and respond to God's invitation for mission participation.
Job Description
Responsibilities & Expectations: 1. 60% Develop individual donor relationships and donor strategies to assist them in engaging in global mission projects. Key Activities with partners, foundations and donors include: a. Meeting – Ensure that every partner on your list has been personally engaged in a meaningful conversation face-to-face if at all possible, at least once every fiscal year. b. Asking – Provide partners with timely and appropriate giving/serving/prayer opportunities. c. Thanking – Thank partners on your list within designated time periods. d. Telling – Report to partners about the outcomes of their involvement. e. Engaging – Invite partners to experience the mission first-hand through events, trips, advocacy, volunteering, conferences etc. f. Recording – Engagement activities need to be recorded in the CRM within 7 days, and ‘personal notes' on each partner should be kept up to date.
2. 30% Developing Relationships with Christian Foundations a. Connecting with foundation contacts on a regular basis b. Understanding their funding priorities, timelines, and criteria c. Working with the Multiply Communications team to deliver proposals and reports
3. 10% Church Engagement as a Relationship Coordinator with churches as requested by US Regional Mobilizers:
Develop and cultivate healthy church partnerships to support local, national and global mission a. Listen and connect with churches, helping them to discern their calling into mission (reaching out globally) and where they can serve and partner for maximum impact and fruitfulness b. Help MB churches become missionally healthy (people, prayer & resources) Communicate MB theology of missions
4. Model the presence of Christ by fostering health in all relationships, seeking to repair any relationships that are unhealthy. Be agents of community transformation. a. Diligently pursue healthy patterns of communication with other Multiply Global Workers, your direct report and the Multiply Inter b. national office, including budgets, goals, strategic planning, etc c. Resolve conflicts arising between team members in a timely fashion, modeling the biblical principles of interpersonal integrity, confession, grace, and forgiveness
While carrying out these Responsibilities and Expectations, you are also expected to: a. Model Multiply values as outlined and agreed upon in the Multiply Christian Foundations and Standards b. Promote the organization c. Honor lines of authority and accountability d. Communicate and share all relevant information with your direct report. e. Disclose to the direct report any violations of your limitation of authority f. Model the presence of Christ by fostering health in all relationships, seeking to repair any relationships that are unhealthy. Be an agent of community transformation. g. Diligently pursue healthy patterns of communication with Multiply staff and missionaries, your direct report and others you interact with as it relates to your duties h. Resolve conflicts arising between team members in a timely fashion, modeling the biblical principles of interpersonal integrity, confession, grace, and forgiveness Working Conditions ● Travel globally, and across North America as required ● Evenings and weekends as required ● Remote (Access to one of Multiply's North American regional offices will be a bonus)

Qualifications / Requirements Credentials: ● Must be a Credentialed pastor within the Mennonite Brethren Church under either a provincial MB conference or the national MB conference ● Must be a Member in good standing within a Mennonite Brethren Church, baptized and professing to follow the MB Confession of Faith ● Completed a post-secondary education Requirements: ● Must have signed and dated the Multiply Christian Foundations and Standards document Core Competencies: ● Strong commitment to Jesus, God's Word, listening prayer ● Strong relationship building and networking with leaders ● Leadership, planning and team building skills Related Work Experience: ● Experience with church relationships ● Cross cultural short term missions
