Job Overview

This individual will be responsible for leading our worship ministry and overseeing all church communications. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for Jesus and the Church, a musical gifting and heart for worship, strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communications and technological skills, and the ability to shepherd the worship team members. The applicant is expected to be an active participant in church life, engage in all church events, and assist in pastoral care as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for worship and the Church
• Bachelor’s degree in Worship Arts, Communications, or a related field preferred
• 1-3 years of ministry experience in a related role
• Ability to lead worship both vocally and instrumentally
• Proficiency in the use of worship planning software, audio/visual equipment, and digital communication tools
• Excellent verbal, writing and graphic design skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to invest in the church family and be an active participant in the life of the church

Key Responsibilities

Worship Leadership

• Plan, coordinate, and lead Sunday worship services and worship-related events which cultivate the presence of God in collaboration with Lead Pastor and other staff members
• Recruit, train, and mentor worship team members (vocalists and instrumentalists)
• Oversee tech team leader in managing tech booth volunteers

Communications Management

• Manage the voice and branding of the church in alignment with the church’s mission and vision
• Oversee/create all internal and external communications, including our weekly e-newsletter, slides, other digital content and print materials
• Manage the church’s website and app, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and reflective of the church’s identity
