South Union Christian Church is searching for their next Worship & Creative Arts Pastor.

Here's a little about us: We are situated in Bloomington, Indiana, the home of the Indiana University Hoosiers. Our church resides just outside of the city which offers us a wide range of activities for families and large population to influence for the kingdom with our access to the urban and rural areas. We are a church with an average attendance 275 people with 5 full time staff members that make up our staff team. We are an elder led church that desires to see people come to know Jesus.

Our previous WCA Pastor worked hard to create a culture of excellence in our worship services, which creates engaging worship environments each weekend and placing a priority on making sure that our technology serves as a catalyst for these environments.

As the Worship and Creative Arts Pastor at South Union Christian Church, you'll have the support of a staff team that truly feels like family, especially the Sr. Pastor that values how the creative arts contribute to Sunday mornings. It's our desire for you step into your role confidently and hit the ground running leading our team of volunteers that are already in place. We desire for you to be step into the calling to be a pastor of people on Sunday mornings through music and through the week in relationships.

Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Serve as the main point of contact and maintain the "spiritual health" of the Creative Arts teams: Vocalists, Band, Audio/Visual, and Online Church.
• Lead worship weekly during service(s), facilitating an environment coducive to people being able to engage in worship times.
• Lead the planning of all worship services.

– Scheduling volunteer teams using Planning Center Online.

– Choosing songs, leading rehearsals, and preparing for special elements/events (baptisms, communion, Christmas Eve, etc.)

– Ensure we are "Sunday-Ready" each week.

– Maintain and cultivate excellence in all areas of Creative Arts.

– Work in conjunction with Senior Pastor's yearly teaching calendar.

– Download and incorporate Multi-tracks into worship services.

– Incorporate yourself into the life of our church outside of Sunday AM worship times.

– Additional parts to the job include:

• Collaborate with our entire church staff on strategic, kingdom-minded, all church initiatives to amplify our impact in the city and reach more people for Jesus.
• Meet regularly with the Sr. Pastor to pursue ongoing spiritual and professional growth opportunities.
• Oversee stage design resets from concept to completition.
• Identify and invite new team members while developing current team members.
• Continually seeking ways to innovate and make our creative arts better.
• Oversee and develop all social media for South Union.
