Job Overview

Princetown Church is looking for a full-time Worship Leader to lead our congregation in Gospel-directed worship by loving Jesus, loving one another, and living with purpose. The worship leader will have an intimate and growing relationship with Jesus. He or she will be responsible for leading the worship ministry of Princetown Church. This person will shepherd the church to worship in an emotionally honest and Gospel-directed manner, for the sake of Christ's glory and our good. He or she should have a heart for reaching the lost and building community. They should also have a creative mindset. Specific responsibilities include recruiting, training, and discipling worship and production team members, collaborating with staff to create worship services, and communicating the Gospel to the church through singing.

Job Description

• Applicant's Skills and Qualities:
  • An intimate relationship with Jesus and a great relationship with a local church
  • Teachable, a self-learner who is hungry to grow, patient, flexible, possesses excellent people skills, can take/give instructions, and works well with others
  • Live as an example of personal integrity, discipleship, and evangelism at Princetown Church and the surrounding community
  • Ability to build, manage, and lead a team of musicians and singers while creating a sense of community among that team
  • Experience in and passion for leading worship in a church setting
  • Ability to organize, plan, and manage their time
  • Have a creative mindset
  • Strong vocal abilities, ability to read music, understands musical theory, and can work with or grow to use modern technology (Ableton, ProPresenter, Chroma Vista, Sound Equipment, Video Broadcast Equipment, Planning Center, click and backing tracks)
  • Preferably – Proficiency in playing a musical instrument, such as guitar or piano

• Applicant's Responsibilities:
  • Lead the congregation in musical worship according to our church's mission, vision, values, and theology
  • Recruiting for, building community among, and training our current worship and production team
  • Planning, organizing, and spiritually leading the musical portion of our worship services to facilitate congregational singing
  • Engage and Encourage our worship values of being Biblical, Christ/Gospel Centered, Modern, Excellent, and Emotionally Honest
  • Coordinate and lead rehearsals with worship and production team members
  • Coordinate with the Lead Pastor and staff in designing and leading modern worship services and special events
  • Maintain, manage, and improve musical and production equipment
  • Gospel outreach to musicians in the area
