QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Credentialled or willingness to become credentialed in the EFCA
  2. Excellent instrumental and vocal arrangement skill in a modern church music style
  3. Excellent vocal performance ability
  4. Excellent instrumental leadership and performance abilities in a modern church setting
  5. Track record of leading winsome and participatory corporate worship in a modern evangelical church
  6. Experience overseeing Worship Arts Ministry in a mid-sized or large evangelical church or parachurch setting
  7. Experience in leading and mentoring staff members (including hiring, ministry management, and ongoing professional development),
  8. Competencies in volunteer recruitment, team-building, skill development, and shepherding
  9. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate with other staff in creative planning, organizing, and execution of worship services and other events

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Corporate Worship Leadership
   1. Serve as the primary worship service leader for Constance Free Church
   2. Plan worship services that help people connect meaningfully with God through winsome leadership, participatory singing, and other elements in collaboration with Constance leadership
   3. Continually develop and maintain music repertoire for the Auditorium venue
   4. Lead mid-week and Sunday morning rehearsals in the Auditorium venue
   5. Serve as primary worship leader for significant all-church non-Sunday gatherings such as Good Friday and Christmas Eve
   6. Collaborate with other ministries within the church as a creative consultant for their corporate worship and special events
   7. Either personally or through other staff and volunteer leaders, support corporate worship efforts for mid-sized non-Sunday gatherings like small group kick-off, Thanksgiving worship night, Disability Ministries worship nights, and Care Ministries Lament and Prayer services
   8. High level leadership and alignment of the Traditions venue with the ministry life and worship vision of Constance
   9. Meet regularly with the Senior and Executive Pastors for corporate worship service support and alignment

1. Ministry Leadership

1. Volunteer leadership
   1. Maintain team vitality and vision for 100+ Worship Arts Ministry volunteers through regular communication, one-on-one appointments, role-based team meetings, and all-ministry functions (i.e. team social events, Vision nights, workshops, etc…)
   2. Lead the worship arts staff team to continually identify and cultivate new volunteers through interview/audition/training processes and subsequent ongoing evaluation

• Mentor and continually development volunteer worship leaders

1. Pastorally shepherd all Worship Arts volunteer teams to encourage participants in their spiritual gifts and in their journey as disciples and disciple makers.

1. 1. Staff Leadership

1. Oversee and shepherd the Worship Arts Staff through regular task assignments and accountability
2. Oversee Worship Arts Ministry staff stewardship of Ministry Management Plan development and execution

• Create feedback loops with Worship Arts staff to regularly review worship service music, leadership, production, and participation

1. Lead Worship Arts staff in all aspects of worship service creative planning and execution for major church seasons and events (i.e. Christmas season, Holy Week, Global Partnership month, special worship services)

1. 1. Develop and execute a Ministry Management Plan through Constance Free Church’s annual Vision and Partnering process

1. Plan, coordinate, and oversee a comprehensive budget for the Worship Arts Ministry.

1. 1. Ensure Worship Arts Ministry’s implementation and compliance of Constance Free Church’s Ministry Safety and Abuse Prevention Policies

1. Organizational Leadership

1. Oversee usage guidelines and tech support, through the Production Associate, for ministry use and facility rentals involving worship service venues
2. Serve as a part of the Management Team which provides collaborative leadership to and execution of ministry
3. Provide high-level input and accountability for audio-visual needs of venues through the direct oversight of the Production Associate; Make needed recommendations for system maintenance and improvements to remain current with technological needs and opportunities

1. Lead or participate in meetings as necessary
2. Keep current with ministry trends, opportunities, and challenges through reading, seminars, discussions, networking, and conferences
3. Other miscellaneous functions and projects as requested by the Executive Pastor

RELATIONSHIPS

The Pastor of Worship Arts will be directly responsible for the Worship Arts staff and volunteers, will work closely with other Constance staff and volunteers, and be part of the Management Team
