We launched with just over 130 people and now have on average between 900-1000 people attending. To provide leadership and management to the Worship Ministry of The Orchard Church West Asheville, developing and implementing an effective worship experience that glorifies God and creates an atmosphere for spiritual growth.DescriptionKey Responsibilities

Lead Worship ServicesServe as the lead worshipper in weekly services.Ensure all musical and technical aspects of worship experiences are executed with excellence.Plan and Prepare WorshipCollaborate with the Campus Pastor to plan worship services that are prayerful, theologically sound, and musically appropriate.Oversee worship elements by selecting songs and coordinating with the Tech Team on media, sound, and lighting.Foster a creative environment that encourages innovation while maintaining alignment with church vision.Coordinate VolunteersBuild and develop the necessary teams to carry out effective worship experiences.Provide ministerial care and encouragement to Worship Ministry members.Organize and guide vocalists, instrumentalists, and tech volunteers for rehearsals and services.Develop systems for creative planning, implementation, and evaluation.Other Duties & Responsibilities

In collaboration with the West Asheville Campus Pastor, set annual goals for Worship Ministry that aligns with The Orchard Church's vision and evaluate goal attainment throughout the year.Offer input on creative aspects such as visuals or stage design.Contribute to broader church events requiring musical or creative input.Maintain wise stewardship of all resources entrusted to the Worship Ministry.Attend and participate in Staff Meetings, Trainings, and Retreats.Other duties as assigned by the Campus Pastor. Qualifications

A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing personal relationship with Him.Demonstrated excellence as a Worship Leader with successful leadership of a Worship Ministry in recent years.Evidence of moral character and lifestyle consistent with The Orchard Church's Constitution, Bylaws, and Statement of Faith.Commitment to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of The Orchard Church.Preferred Licensed or Ordained Minister.Previous experience in a church ministerial environment required. Preferred experience would include a ministerial degree or substantiated resume of successful leadership positions.Knowledge/Understanding

Vigorously supports our mission and vision as stated in Our Vision Pursuit.Cooperates with our guiding principles and The Orchard Church Philosophy of Ministry.Pursues knowledge of the current cultural/social environment of church membership/community.Maintains a healthy attitude and support for our Campus Pastor and leadership teams.A person who has a strong prayer life.Understanding of current events and social media. Understanding of sound equipment and relevant media tools.Skills

Must have a heart for ministry and a willingness to serve.Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and community.Listening skills with the ability to interpret and respond to personal and confidential situations.Ability to manage multiple priorities and events.Ability to use Google Suite, internet, email, and social media resources.Core Competencies/Leadership Development

This is a role that is not an hourly employee. Therefore, this person would be willing to be called on to do ministry after hours if called on to do so.Walking, standing, sitting and occasional waiting.Light lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.Ability to drive or airline travel, international and nationally.Environmental Conditions

Some work will be performed in an office environment likeness with proper heating, cooling, and lighting.Exposure to health care facilities, schools, and most other venues where people gather.Mental Demands
