Worship Director (+)

Job Overview

ABOUT THE ROLE This is a missionally focused, worship-centered role at Hilton Head Presbyterian Church. We're seeking a leader who is both musically gied and spiritually grounded — someone called not just to lead music, but to shepherd people into worship that is theologically rich, emotionally engaging, and shaped by the gospel. We are looking for someone who feels not only equipped for the work but also called to this place — to invest deeply in our island congregation, form long-term community, and be part of a church committed to local mission and spiritual formation.

This position is central to leading gathered worship and shaping a culture of gospel-centered, biblically rooted liturgy within our island congregation. While excellence and experience in musical performance are essential, we are ultimately seeking someone who is also called to the people and mission of Hilton Head, and who desires to see Christ formed in this local community through worship. The ideal candidate will lead worship with both a pastoral heart and theological depth, and partner with staff to build teams, nurture volunteers, and equip the body for participation in worship.

WHO WE ARE HHPC is one church with plans to send a congregation to Bluon in early 2026. We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We exist to multiply the worship, renewal, and community of Jesus to the people and places of the Lowcountry and, through it, to the world. Our vision is to see lives transformed by the power of the gospel for the glory of God and the good of the Lowcountry, along with a movement of 3-5 churches that are either sent, strengthened, or started in the next 10 years.
