Job Description Worship Director/Worship DirectorAbout Lorna Vista Community Church:

Loma Vista Community Church is an intergenerational, non-denominational, gospel-centered church of 1200+ members and regular attenders (750 average att.). Lorna Vista Community Church is reaching families and individuals of all ages as the church maintains great favor with the community. Lorna Vista Community Church teaches through the bible expositionally and is based on the conservative doctrine of the historic Christian faith. The services are lightly produced, contemporary, Christ-centered and driven by scripture. The church uses much of the current worship songs from popular Christian Worship Song charts but are very selective of song choice. The church also insert hymns periodically arranged in a contemporary way.

Purpose of Ministry: The purpose of the Worship Director is to lead, equip and nurture the creative arts, tech and worship teams to fulfill the vision of Loma Vista, leading an engaging multi-generational worship strategy for the Loma Vista region maintaining a consistently high standard of excellence and a Christ-centered focus. Here are the main highlights of the position:Responsibilities Include:

• Schedule/oversee/develop Worship Coordinator, Leaders and Interns

• Schedule/oversee/develop instrumental and vocal teams

• Schedule/oversee Media, Lighting and Sound Leaders and teams

• Schedule/oversee our online services

• Oversee photography and video productions for services and events

• Maintain Planning Center Online

• Oversee midweek and Sunday practices

• Provide worship leading services to other groups and events

• Oversee maintenance and purchase of sound, media and lighting equipment

Skills & Gifts Needed:

• Leadership • Computer Knowledge (Mac capability preferred) • Administration • Musicianship • Interpersonal communication

Relationships:

• Supervised and Supported by Lead Pastor • Will work in cooperation of Church Leadership/Staff

Requirements:

• 5+ years leading worship/creative arts teams • Four-year college degree, preferably in ministry

Time & Salary:
