Job Description

Position Summary:

ONE Community Church in Queen Creek, Arizona, seeks a passionate and experienced Worship Director to lead and oversee the church's worship ministry. The Worship Director will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading dynamic, Christ-centered worship services that inspire and engage the congregation. This role involves recruiting, training, and mentoring a diverse team of volunteers while fostering a welcoming and unified worship environment that aligns with the church's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Worship Services: Plan, organize, and lead worship services, incorporating a blend of musical styles to engage a diverse congregation and encourage participation.
• Develop Worship Teams: Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer musicians, vocalists, and technical team members, fostering spiritual growth and musical excellence.
• Service Planning: Collaborate with the pastoral staff to create meaningful worship experiences that complement sermon themes and special events, integrating prayer, Scripture, and multimedia elements.
• Rehearsals: Organize and direct regular rehearsals, ensuring that the worship team is well-prepared and confident in leading the congregation.
• Creative Direction: Innovate and incorporate new worship elements, balancing tradition with contemporary expressions to reach various demographics within the church.
• Pastoral Care: Support and disciple worship team members, encouraging a lifestyle of worship and spiritual maturity.
• Technical Oversight: Oversee sound, lighting, and multimedia systems to ensure smooth and effective worship services, working with the technical team to maintain and improve equipment.
• Special Events: Plan and lead worship for special services, holiday events, and community outreach, contributing to the church's mission of outreach and evangelism.
• Administration: Manage the worship ministry budget, scheduling, and communication with team members, ensuring efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Spiritual Maturity: A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a growing faith and a heart for worship ministry.
• Musical Proficiency: Strong vocal skills and instrumental proficiency (piano, guitar, or other) with experience in leading worship and arranging music for a worship team.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire volunteers, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Theological Alignment: Agreement with the church's mission, vision, and core beliefs, with a passion for sharing the Gospel through worship.
• Experience: Previous experience in worship leadership within a church setting is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to engage a diverse congregation.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with sound, lighting, and multimedia equipment and software used in worship services.
