The Worship Director position at Redemption Hill Church will oversee there entire Sunday experience. From worship leading to shepherding the overall creative department, the Worship Director will have the opportunity to build a thriving culture for an authentic thriving group of volunteers and congregants in the DC area.

Job Description

The responsibilities of this position focus primarily on preparation for and execution of our Sunday worship gatherings. Key responsibilities include:

• A member in good standing at Redemption Hill Church, with all of the commitments and responsibilities entailed.
• Work alongside the Pastoral staff in shaping worship services for Redemption Hill Church.
  • Pursue consistency and excellence for RHC's liturgy and the flow of service.
  • Schedule volunteers using Planning Center and CCB.
  • Ensure that weekly presentations are set in ProPresenter.
• Lead Redemption Hill's band(s).
  • Lead Sunday services.

• Develop the talents and abilities of RHC members as worship leaders and contributors to the band.

• • Help develop a library and culture of music that reflects and expresses the heart of RHC and the diversity of the church and local community. Develop and maintain set lists, song charts and arrangements for weekly worship gatherings.
  • Build community among the members of the RHC band and lead by example through fostering a culture of God-directed, gospel-infused worship, including leading the team to a deeper understanding of worship through music.
  • Lead music at other Redemption Hill events, including but not limited to quarterly Worship and Prayer Meetings and periodic conferences.

• Oversee Sunday Liturgies
  • Maintain an archive of liturgy and service flow (passages of Scripture, prayers, etc.)
  • Choose songs/service flow and send a message to the team alerting them that the songs are available and any arrangement notes
  • Update PowerPoint Slides in the Sunday Liturgies folder and import into ProPresenter.
  • Load lyrics and liturgy into ProPresenter (ProPresenter loads information from PCO. Song arrangements need to be adjusted in ProPresenter prior to the service on Sunday).
• Oversee Sunday Services
  • Work with Deacon of Tech
    • Become proficient in the RHC sound system to help troubleshoot with Tech Team as needs arise
    • Ensure full stock of equipment and cables and maintain running inventory for all equipment
  • Ensure that the storage room is well stocked and organized
• Other responsibilities as assigned
