The Worship Director of Seminole Baptist is responsible for providing leadership for all components of the worship ministries at Seminole. The candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to Jesus Christ, with a heart to lead others into a purposeful sense of worship, enhancing our church’s mission of “Encouraging People to Find and Follow Jesus.”

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:

• Affirm and adhere to Seminole’s statement of faith and become a member of Seminole.
• Live out 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
• Experience leading people into authentic worship using contemporary music, hymns, and modern hymns in a modern style and in a multi-generational setting.
• Ability to gain and hold the trust of the people of the church.
• Able to incorporate creativity in the church service.
• Understanding and competence in audio/visual technology.
• Keep scheduled office hours, staff appointments, and scheduled worship times.
• Be a team player.

• Assist the Lead Pastor in planning the overall theme for worship services.
• Plan the weekly worship service, along with various seasonal and special events.
• Identifying and recruiting worship leaders, musicians, technicians, and ministry volunteers, equipping them with resources and training.
• Schedule worship team members to carry out its ministries and work with them to set standards for participation and performance.
• Lead worship rehearsals every week.
• Overseeing and maintaining the technology in the auditorium.
• Developing and administering a ministry budget.
• Other ministries/duties as needed by the church and assigned by the Lead Pastor.

• The candidate will come for a visit and be interviewed by a variety of pastoral and ministry leaders.
• The candidate will meet with our leadership teams to share their testimony and heart for worship ministry.
• After vetting and seeking counsel, the Lead Pastor will extend an offer to the candidate.
