Worship Director
The Alpine Chapel Worship Minister should be a God-called Christian, musically-gifted, spiritually-mature, biblically-grounded Christian to lead all worship ministries at our church under the direction of our Lead Pastor. They will have experience leading worship at a similar- sized church and experience shepherding worship teams. They should agree with The Alpine Chapel's theology and doctrinal beliefs and agree to support all ministries and outreaches of the church. They must have the ability to coach and mentor others in the body, equipping the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12). As any ministry leader, they shall exemplify the characteristics of a godly, Christian life and possess the qualities of a spiritual leader as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-9. They shall be appointed by the Lead Pastor with approval of the Trustees of The Alpine Chapel. The Lead Pastor shall review the performance of the Worship minister annually and shall be accountable to the Lead Pastor.
Housing is provided as part of the compensation for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Live like a missionary in our unique context
• Provide leadership in worship at all appropriate church functions or assign others to lead.
• Be available to meet with the Lead Pastor regularly for worship planning, flow, content, and transitions, as well as long-term planning and special events.
• Attend all church staff meetings and retreats.
• Shepherd, train, manage, and care for the volunteer worship and tech teams.
• Regularly identify and deploy new volunteers in the church's worship and tech ministry.
• Direct, develop, and support a variety of music experiences (main services, prayer services, special holiday services, etc.)
• Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments and equipment owned by the church.
• Maintain and expand existing song files and database; select songs for regular and special
services at The Alpine Chapel.
• Oversee all A/V needs including uploading of online sermons and services.
• In consultation with other ministry leaders and senior church leadership, develop an annual worship ministry budget and be able to work within that budget.
• Oversee administrative side of The Well Coffee Shop including all supply/stocking management, kitchen, storage upkeep and oversight of the cleaning company.
• Work as a Barista and connect with customers at The Well Coffee Shop
• Oversee and coordinate seasonal outreaches (Thanksgiving, Friday Feasts, etc.)
• Be a member of Alpine Chapel (or in the process of becoming one) and in good standing.
• Regularly participate in the life of The Alpine Chapel community.
• Be faithful to the Lord, The Alpine Chapel, and to this entire ministry, making every effort to be available to be used by the Lord in Holy Spirit inspired, creative, and wonderful ways.
• Participate in general ministerial duties as needed (weddings, funerals, etc.).
• Be teachable, humble, and flexible.
