Summary/Objective

This position serves the Tri-City congregation in two ways:

1.) Leads Veritas' in gospel-centered worship through music, liturgy, and creative expression that glorifies God and builds up the church.

2). Oversees the development and discipleship of worship leaders, musicians, and production volunteers to serve the body faithfully and skillfully.

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Lead the missional and theological philosophy for Veritas Tri-City worship ministry under the direction of the lead pastor and elders.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead weekly Sunday gatherings, ensuring liturgy & songs are biblically faithful and musically excellent.
• Creatively engage and equip the congregation to grow as worshipers beyond Sunday gatherings through classes, liturgies, music, poetry, writings, etc.
• Recruit, train, and schedule worship team members, musicians, and production volunteers.
• Shepherd, disciple, and provide leadership for worship and production volunteers and delegate leadership responsibility to key volunteers to support the growth of the worship ministry.
• Collaborate with pastors and cross-congregational staff to design liturgies, special gatherings (e.g., Good Friday, Christmas Eve, baptisms), and other events.
• Oversee and maintain worship ministry equipment, instruments, and technology.
• Ensure a healthy volunteer culture through clear communication, training, and appreciation.
• Coordinate with Short North and West worship directors where applicable to align with Veritas-wide vision and resourcing.
• Provide ongoing development opportunities for volunteers in both spiritual growth and musical skill.

Supervisory Responsibility

• Oversee Veritas Tri-City worship leaders, musicians, and production volunteers to ensure gospel-centered, Christ-exalting worship in all gatherings

Desired Education & Experience

• Proven ability to lead worship in a church setting musically.
• Strong theological foundation and ability to write and lead gospel-centered liturgy.
• Proficiency in leading with voice and instrument (guitar, piano, or other).
• Experience training, developing, and leading volunteer teams.
• Excellent organizational abilities and communication skills.
• Experience with production technology (sound, slides, livestream) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in music, worship, or related ministry field preferred.
• Experience working in a church or non-profit environment is highly desirable.
