Job Summary

The ultimate goal of this position is to lead worship in the contemporary worship service. To achieve this goal, the worship leader will plan the services in conjunction with the Worship and Formation Pastor and traditional service worship leader, organize the musicians and musical arrangements, and coordinate with the A/V department creatively as needed to accomplish the agenda of the worship service.

This service will have a worship style that is both rooted and relevant—blending the richness of classic hymns with the vibrancy of contemporary worship. We believe that the deep theological truths and timeless melodies of the church's historic hymns ground us in the faith once delivered to the saints, while modern songs give fresh expression to our love for Christ and His gospel. This position may be part time or full time depending on the applicant.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

1. Sunday Morning Worship Leader (30%)

2. Organize and prepare for Sunday morning worship in coordination with pastoral leadership and traditional service worship leader (30%)

3. Build and lead a worship team of volunteers from within the church (20%)

4. Various other duties, meetings, and communication (20%)

5. Other duties that align with experience, gifting, and desires of candidate (if full time), as assigned

● A team-oriented spirit with a humble and collaborative approach to ministry

● Worship leading experience preferred

● Excellent musical ability—both instrumentally and vocally

● Highly organized, responsible, and creative

● Willingness to submit to the leadership of the church

● Openness to diverse, biblical expressions of worship, with a readiness to yield personal style preferences for the sake of unity and mission
