Job Summary:

A worship leader whose primary focus will be leading and building the worship and prayer culture of the church through:

• Leading and planning all gathered worship
• Building teams
• Developing healthy leaders
• Discipling the congregation to worship and pray

The Morningside staff team does whatever it takes for the success of the team and the mission. The right candidate will be asked to take on additional responsibilities in addition to worship based on need, competency, and availability.

The Worship Leader reports to, and serves as a partner to the Senior Pastor. The role includes but is not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees all gathered worship and prayer at Morningside alongside of the Senior Pastor, and works with the Senior Pastor to create a vision and plan for all worship gatherings
• Oversees the recruitment, development, weekly selection, and execution of all staff and volunteers involved in the worship gathering
• Engages with the congregation to help further the culture of the church
• Specifically cares for and teaches individuals in the worship ministry area
