Role Overview

Seeing the incredible amount of local musical talent in the greater Nashville area, and given our proximity to one of top recording institutions in the nation (Middle Tennessee State University), the Director of One Church Worship will lead and develop a diverse worship ministry and music label (think local church-based Maverick City or Elevation Music) by cultivating:

A. Christ-centered worship experiences

B. Building a thriving volunteer team and an environment of leaders investing in future leaders. (This leader must be both vocally and instrumentally talented, spiritually grounded, and committed to team development.) The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching vocal harmonies, leading a full worship band, and collaborating with the AVL team to create an impactful worship environment.

C. In addition to adult worship services, this leader will provide musical direction and oversight of the worship expressions of a diverse college and young adult ministry, consisting of over 150 students. It is through this ministry that we hope to develop our own worship music label to send out dozens of worship leaders throughout the world (in conjunction with a nationally-known seminary). Working with our college interns is a critical aspect to this position.

In conjunction with the ONE CHURCH Central Staff Minister of Music, the Director will be responsible for recruiting and developing talented vocalists and musicians, executing worship sets in these ministries, and be the point person for campus-wide worship leadership, offering guidance, vision, and support. They will help identify needs and provide input to the Central Staff Minister of Music as part of a unified worship culture across all One Church campuses.

· Strong ability to recruit and lead others in a Christ-centered music ministry

· A keen understanding of recording and the music industry

· Ability to discern service flow and song selection in a team context

· A high capacity when it comes to maintaining relationships AND advance planning

· An understanding of developing charts, tracks, and MP3s as prepared in software such as MultiTracks and Planning Center

· Align song choices with sermon series and teaching times

· A desire to collaborate with the AVL Producer to ensure high-quality sound, visuals, and livestream integration

· An understanding basic AVL workflows to lead effectively across the full team

Weekly Rhythm (45-50 hours/week)

· Regular spiritual growth and personal discipleship

· Monday morning staff meetings

· Sunday morning services and team leadership

· Monday night college/young adult worship services

· Midweek prep/rehearsals for Sunday worship and Monday night college

· Team communication and development

· Planning and administrative tasks

Salary: $65000-$85000 (depending on skill level and experience) + full benefits + the eternal reward of developing a harvest of reproducing kingdom-minded leaders who reproduce kingdom-minded leaders.
