The Worship Leader will bring consistency and excellence to Redemption Hill Church's Sunday worship gatherings, particularly in the music and liturgy for the church.

The ideal candidate is a faithful Christian who is a musically gifted leader with a heart for the local church. The candidate must have demonstrable experience in leading a congregation in worship and developing the skills of a band in diverse styles of music. The responsibilities of this position focus primarily on preparation for and execution of Sunday worship gatherings, including leadership of the Tech Team. This individual will work directly alongside the Lead Pastor and be directly accountable to him.

Job Description

The responsibilities of this position focus primarily on preparation for and execution of our Sunday worship gatherings. Key responsibilities include:

• A member in good standing at Redemption Hill Church, with all of the commitments and responsibilities entailed.
• Work alongside the Pastoral staff in shaping worship services for Redemption Hill Church.
  • Pursue consistency and excellence for RHC's liturgy and the flow of service.
  • Schedule volunteers for all aspects of Sunday services using Planning Center and CCB.
  • Ensure that weekly presentations are set in ProPresenter.
• Lead Redemption Hill's band(s)

• Develop the talents and abilities of RHC members as worship leaders and contributors to the band.

• • Help develop a library and culture of music that reflects and expresses the heart of RHC and the diversity of the church and local community. Develop and maintain set lists, song charts and arrangements for weekly worship gatherings.
  • Build community among the members of the RHC band and lead by example through fostering a culture of God-directed, gospel-infused worship, including leading the team to a deeper understanding of worship through music.
  • Lead music at other Redemption Hill events, including but not limited to quarterly Worship and Prayer Meetings and periodic conferences.

• Oversee Sunday Liturgies
  • Write liturgy and post through PCO.
  • Properly archive previous week's liturgy slides and document from the Sunday Liturgies folder to the to the appropriate Archive folder (within Sunday Liturgies).
  • Choose songs/service flow and send a message to the team alerting them that the songs are up and any arrangement notes
  • Organize charts for the band/vocals prior to the Thursday rehearsal.
  • Update Liturgy History spreadsheet weekly.
  • Load lyrics and liturgy into ProPresenter (ProPresenter loads information from PCO. Song arrangements need to be adjusted in ProPresenter prior to the service on Sunday).
• Oversee Sunday Services
  • Oversee Tech ministry
    • Work with the Deacon to schedule the teams
    • Become proficient in the RHC sound system to help troubleshoot with Tech Team as needs arise
    • Ensure full stock of equipment and cables and maintain running inventory for all equipment
  • Ensure that the storage room is well stocked and organized
• Assist with all RHC events
• Other responsibilities as assigned
