The Worship Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of music and worship at Snover Heritage Church. This person will foster a Christ-centered environment, mentor volunteers, and ensure worship flows smoothly and meaningfully each week.

Job Description

Snover Heritage Church in the Thumb of Michigan is seeking a part-time Worship Leader (or Worship Pastor if ordained) to lead and oversee our worship ministry.

The Worship Leader will plan and lead weekly services in a blended style, combining biblically sound contemporary worship songs with the rich tradition of hymns. The goal is to create a wholesome, Christ-centered worship experience that invites our congregation into genuine praise and reflection.

This person will:

• Plan, organize, and lead weekly worship services.

• Recruit, mentor, and schedule worship and tech team members.

• Lead regular practices and prepare the team for Sunday worship.

• Oversee and maintain audio, visual, and tech systems.

• Work closely with the pastor to plan special services such as Christmas, Easter, and other events.

• Ensure all worship music and lyrics are theologically sound and align with the beliefs of Snover Heritage Church.

Our Worship Style:We value music that is biblically grounded, theologically rich, and Christ-exalting. Our services include a blend of modern worship and traditional hymns. The musical style we're looking for would be similar to Shane & Shane, CityAlight, Travis Cottrell, Keith & Kristyn Getty, and Sovereign Grace Music.

Qualifications:

• Strong vocal and instrumental ability (guitar or piano preferred).

• Experience leading worship in a church setting.

• Familiarity with sound and tech systems.

• A heart for Christ and a desire to shepherd people through worship.

• Ability to lead and encourage volunteers in a team setting.

• Willingness to affirm and abide by the doctrine and beliefs of Snover Heritage Church.
