Worship Leader (Part-Time)

Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Worship Leader to join our team at White Oak Baptist Church in Archer Lodge NC, aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). In this part-time role, you will collaborate with the Lead Pastor and Music Director to plan and lead our two weekly worship services. The first service features traditional music with piano and organ, while the second service incorporates a contemporary worship band including piano, acoustic guitar, bass, and drums. Your role will involve leading both the Worship Team and the A/V Team, with a focus on recruitment and development.

Responsibilities:

• Select and prepare music for two weekly worship services as well as special events.
• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and Music Director to finalize the weekly order of service using Planning Center Online.
• Manage and coordinate Worship Team and A/V Team volunteers through Planning Center Online.
• Create and distribute musical charts via Planning Center Online.
• Lead rehearsals and set up for each service.
• Work with the A/V team to coordinate lighting, streaming, slides, and audio as needed.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor, Personnel Team, or Music Director, in coordination with the Worship Leader.

Expectations:

• Maintain open communication with the church office and Lead Pastor regarding availability and work schedule.
• Notify the Lead Pastor, Personnel Team, and/or Music Director of any unforeseen absences from scheduled hours, events, or duties, and arrange for a suitable substitute if needed.
• Recommended work hours: 10-15 hours per week. Salary $1000.00 per month
• Address any concerns with the Pastor or Personnel Team promptly.
• Provide a two-week written resignation notice prior to leaving the position.

Qualifications:

• Committed Christian who aligns with the beliefs and practices of White Oak Baptist Church beliefs and practices.
• 1-2 year (preferred) experience in leading music both vocally and instrumentally, preferably with guitar proficiency.
• Proficiency in Pro Presenter and Planning Center on-line preferred.
