Who We Are:

First Baptist Clever (FBC) is a revitalized and healthy church that is experiencing sustained growth. We are located in a small growing residential town 10 miles outside of Springfield, Missouri. We currently run 550-600 people each Sunday morning through 3 worship services (8am, 9:30am, 11am). All three modern/blended worship services are identical. Our church is multi-generational, but most prevalently filled with young families. Genuine and Spirit-led worship is a key dynamic of our church.

Position Details:

Position Title: Worship and Media Pastor

Direct Supervisor: Lead Pastor

Direct Report: Production Assistant (Part-time)

Salary Range: $40,000-$60,000 (depending on experience and media/communication ability)

Position Summary:

The Worship and Media Pastor will work as part of the pastoral team to minister to the church through worship and communicate with the church through multi-media. He is responsible for interpreting the vision and purpose of FBC as it relates to worship and media ministries and leading the various volunteer teams that are involved.

Essential Responsibility:

1. Leading Worship (Required) – Direct the planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating of church worship programing, including praise teams and other vocal and instrumental groups. – Recruit, supervise, and lead the volunteer worship teams. – Coordinate the music and worship program with the church calendar/communication avenues (Website, bulletin, etc.) – Collaborate with the pastor in planning all worship services. – Maintain the music library, materials, supplies, musical instruments and other equipment. – Prepare an annual music and worship budget for approval and administer the approved budget.

2. Pastoring (Required) – Assist the Lead pastor in spiritually leading and caring for the congregation. – Provide pastoral care as needed for worship service response times, hospital and bereavement visits, connection calls, etc. – Arrange and provide music for weddings, funerals, special events and other church-related activities as needed.

3. Production (Required) – Plan and execute all production elements (lyrics, lights, sound, etc) with the help of the Production Assistant. – Oversee, train, and equip the production team with the aid of the Production Assistant. – Coordinate set up and tear down for all audio visual needs within the church. – Oversee equipment upgrades and maintenance for sanctuary AV, and other applications.

4. Communication (Preferred) – Oversee all church communication (email newsletter, texts, bulletin, etc). – Oversee all church social media content. – Oversee graphic design for events, sermons, church activities. – Create videos and promotional material for events, weekly announcements, sermon series, and activities. – Oversee all other multimedia content creation. – Website maintenance and design.
