LifePoint Church is a growing non-denominational church in the regional hub of Norfolk, Nebraska.  Our aim is to be a gospel-centered church that gathers to worship Christ and scatters to proclaim the gospel.

With a passion to worship God and lead others to do the same, the Worship Minister will oversee the worship ministry of LifePoint Church, giving leadership to the vision, planning, and execution of worship services.  The Worship Minister will ensure that worship continues to grow in scope and excellence in harmony with the church’s mission and values.

Job Description

The Worship Minister will oversee different areas of ministry within the church, and will also work with other pastors or leaders to ensure implementation of the vision of the church.  Our desire is not for the Worship Minister to lead every week or every song.  Rather, he should see himself as equipping and training others in their giftings to lead.

• Worship Ministry
• Coordinate with the Lead Pastor in planning corporate gatherings.
• Cultivate a culture and environment that encourages congregational worship.
• Recruit and train volunteers for serving in different facets of the worship ministry.
• Develop a worship leadership team for planning of events and helping setting direction.
• Provide training, coaching, and shepherding to members of the worship team.
• Oversee Worship Budget in conjunction with Deacons of Finance.
• Set annual goals for worship ministry that correlate to the larger vision of the church.
• Oversee production related to worship ministries, and all church-related technology.

• Pastoral & Shepherding Responsibilities
• Along with the rest of the pastoral staff of LifePoint Church, there will be shared ministry responsibilities.
• Additional ministry responsibilities will be based on the gifting/talent of the individual pastor. (For example, leading a small group, hospital visitation, etc.)

• Staff Responsibilities

• Work with staff and elders to promote church vision as it pertains to your area of ministry.
• Attend other staff functions as appropriate.
• Coordinate worship leadership for men’s, women’s, youth, or church events (conferences, retreats, etc.) as needed.
• Oversee special church worship events including Good Friday, Easter, concerts, funerals, Christmas Eve service.

• Personal and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Agreement with LifePoint’s “Statement of Faith.”

• Demonstrated ability of leading worship, developing team members, and experience with necessary technology.

• Self-starter with the ability to lead within a complex environment.

• Team player gifted in delegating and empowering others for ministry. Our desire is for the pastor in this position to develop and empower others, more than do alone.

• Atleast 5+ years of church ministry preferred (does not have to be full-time experience).

• Bible College or seminary training preferred.

Compensation: Based on experience and education  (45-55k + benefits)
