The Worship Music Director supports the mission of Webster Bible Church by helping the congregation glorify God through music that reflects both our gospel-centered unity and our God-given diversity. This includes leading vocal and instrumental music in corporate worship, fostering musical excellence, and facilitating meaningful congregational participation.

Qualifications

• Must be a spiritually mature and committed follower of Jesus Christ.
• Preferably holds (or is pursuing) a degree in music or a related field, or possesses equivalent training and experience.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Possesses a theological understanding of worship and a passion for gospel-centered ministry.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and mentor musically gifted members for service in the worship ministry.
• Lead corporate worship with musical selections that are biblically sound, doctrinally rich, and engaging for the congregation.
• Collaborate with the pastoral staff in planning services that support the preaching of God's Word.
• Oversee administrative aspects of the music ministry, including coordination with the AVL (Audio-Visual-Lighting) team and other ministry personnel.
• Maintain and organize the church's music library (both digital and physical).
• Utilize Planning Center to schedule volunteers, plan services, and communicate clearly with team members.
• Continually develop musical skills and leadership abilities for the growth of the ministry.
• Lead worship services with authenticity, reverence, joy, and spiritual sensitivity, enhancing the overall flow and atmosphere.
• Champion the vision of Webster Bible Church, which is to glorify God by making disciples who embrace God's truth, enjoy His people, and extend His glory.

Additional Expectations

• Look for ways to serve the church outside of the music ministry, time and opportunity permitting.
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety. All WBC employees are expected to adopt a positive safety mindset and comply with all relevant safety policies. Any potentially unsafe conditions or actions must be promptly reported to the Senior Pastor or an Elder.
