Position Overview:

The Worship Pastor at All Nations Community Church shall be responsible for implementing the vision "to become a God-glorifying, interdependent church that makes disciples of all nations and all generations by the power of the gospel" in the context of our worship and various ministries. As such, this individual will be expected to exercise a combination of organizational leadership, pastoral care, and teaching. Average weekly hours: 40 hours per week.

Skills and Requirements

  • Must possess M.A. or M.Div. degree from a graduate-level evangelical seminary. If currently enrolled, must be on track to graduate within one year of application date.
  • Must be willing to submit to and teach according to the doctrines of the reformed faith. All Nations Community Church is aligned with the Christian Reformed Church.
  • The pastor must possess the marks of Gospel produced character outlined in Titus 1:5-9. Namely, to live a life above reproach in terms of speech, conduct, stewardship, and doctrine.
  • Must be able to teach the Word of God with clarity and conviction.
  • Able to develop and train leaders within each ministry.
  • Must be able to cast vision for and execute special events in the context of team ministry.
  • Willing to submit to the directive leadership of the Council and the Lead Pastor.
  • Must be proficient with or willing to learn to work with our ministry technologies. (Slack, Google Apps, SimpleChurch, Asana, Facebook, etc.)

Additional Information:

  • Reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
  • Full-time office hours: Tuesday (8), Wednesday (8) Friday (8), Sunday (8) with additional days based on scheduled ministry events. Additional work hours are designated for preparation, visitations, and special events.

Job Description

Regular Duties

  • Regularly lead worship for Sunday service (not every Sunday, but in regular rotation).
  • Equip the worship core to fulfill responsibilities such as weekly rehearsals, band member scheduling, creating worship sets, etc.
  • Provide theological and practical directive for Sunday worship music and set selection.
  • Create culture and systems for spiritual care for the worship core and band members.
  • Manage all music and Sunday worship software related to praise and worship (Planning Center, Tracy, Music Stand, etc.).
  • Oversee band recruitment and auditions.
  • Assist and support operations director and media team with Sunday operations (audio, visual, tech, etc.).
  • Associate full time pastors at All Nations currently oversee at least two ministries. Based on the individual's abilities and the needs of the church, the worship pastor will be asked to oversee one additional ministry at All Nations.
  • Assist with Sunday worship by presiding, communion service, and possible preaching.

Occasional Duties

  • Attend interdependent (ANC/ANCC) planning and staff meetings if scheduled.
  • In light of our interdependence with ANC Onnuri, pastoral staff may be asked to help with all-church events such as VBS, Christmas service, etc.
  • Assist in special projects such as missions, retreats, and seasonal events.
  • Coordinate annual budget planning with staff and lay leaders.
