Worship Pastor
Job Overview
Who We Are
Heritage Christian Fellowship is an independent reformed Bible church that gathers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We exist, as all things do, for the glory of God alone. We long to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.
In our commitment to glorifying and enjoying God, we emphasize proclaiming His Word. This is done through verse-by-verse expository preaching and teaching, which exalts Christ and edifies His body. United by the truths of Christ, we covenant together to follow His commands. Following the tradition of the Reformers and the doctrines of grace, we strive to be continuously reforming and aligning with God's will as revealed in Scripture. Our bond in Christ encourages us to observe the ordinances He instituted and dedicate ourselves to prayer, devotion, joyful worship, discipline, and sound doctrine. We are passionate about fulfilling the Great Commission, making disciples both near and far, while ensuring we pass on a rich spiritual heritage to our children, training them in righteousness according to God's Word. Finally, we desire that our love for God abound and manifest itself with a passion for glorifying Him in all that we do, and we long to love our neighbor even as ourselves and love one another as Christ has loved us.
Position Requirements

- A deep devotion to studying and rightly handling God's Word is vital for leading worship that glorifies Him (2 Timothy 3:16–17, 2 Timothy 4:2).
- Proficiency in planning doctrinally rich worship and strong skills in vocal and instrumental leadership (guitar or keyboard), collaborating effectively with other musicians.
- A commitment to regular prayer, both privately and publicly, for his soul and those entrusted to him, as well as a willingness to pray with and for those in need (Acts 6:4, James 5:14-20).
- A commitment to becoming a member in good standing at Heritage, affirming our Statement of Faith, embracing our core values, submitting to elder leadership, and committing to several years of ministry here.
- A Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies, Music, Theology, Worship, or a related field.
