Job Overview

Firewheel Bible Fellowship is seeking a part-time Worship Pastor to lead our congregation in Christ-exalting, theologically rich worship. This role will oversee the music ministry, lead Sunday morning worship, and collaborate with the senior pastor in planning services. The Worship Pastor will also disciple and develop a team of volunteer musicians and tech personnel.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Worship Leadership: Lead Sunday morning worship in a way that prioritizes biblical, theological depth and congregational participation. Incorporate a variety of contemporary songs and hymns, both traditional and modern.
• Service Planning: Work alongside the senior pastor to prayerfully plan Christ-centered, Scripture-informed worship services.
• Team Development: Shepherd, schedule, and equip the all-volunteer worship team, fostering both musical excellence and spiritual growth.
• Tech Oversight: Lead the A/V team, ensuring excellence in sound, slides, lighting, and livestream.
• Midweek Commitments:
  • Rehearsals: Lead Thursday evening rehearsals.
  • Meetings: Attend staff meetings on Tuesdays.
  • Discipleship: Invest in the worship team spiritually and seek to recruit and train new volunteers.

Qualifications

• A growing, mature faith in Christ and a commitment to the mission of Firewheel Bible Fellowship.
• Experience leading worship in a local church context (staff or volunteer).
• Strong vocal and instrumental ability (guitar or piano preferred).
• A passion for biblically sound, theologically rich worship.
• Leadership and organizational skills to develop musicians and oversee tech teams.
• Theological acumen (seminary training preferred but not required).
