WORSHIP PASTOR

The Worship Pastor at New Life Baptist will be a dynamic leader who will help create, implement, engage, and lead the church in meaningful worship and grow as authentic followers of Jesus Christ. He will provide leadership, direction, and management to the Worship ministries under the Pastor and Executive Pastor of Ministries.

WORSHIP PASTOR IS A PERSON WHO IS

• Called to Worship Ministry
• Exhibits a personal and growing relationship with God, has a teachable spirit, and a healthy family life
• Above reproach and wants to learn our DNA
• Capable of creating and executing a long-term strategy for spiritual & numerical growth in Worship Ministry
• Evangelistic, both personally and professionally
• Possesses strong relational, leadership, and pastoral skills
• A self-motivated leader who is capable of casting and imparting vision
• Addresses conflict in a biblical manner
• Has a personal spiritual life congruent with biblical mandates for leaders (1 Timothy 3:1-7)

WORSHIP PASTOR WILL

• Be a dynamic communicator with a teaching gift, demonstrate a deep understanding of Scripture, have a strong biblical & theological background, and teach in agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
• Develop and execute ministry goals that align with our discipleship process of Loving the Great Commandment, Living the Great Commission, and Leading One More Person to know Jesus Christ
• Be passionate to reach unbelievers & to make disciples of believers
• Be the primary Worship Leader of the church using a team of worship leaders effectively to lead and create an excellent atmosphere for multigenerational worship for all Sunday & Wednesday services
• Oversee and manage the adult choir ministry including rehearsal, vision, and preparation
• Manage all worship planning, worship resources, worship volunteer teams, and worship leaders
• Recruit, audition, train, rehearse, and shepherd all volunteers connected to Worship Ministry toward spiritual & relational depth
• Manage Planning Center & all scheduling of teams + services
• Prepare & oversee all creative developments including sound, lighting, videos, tech, and software
• Manage the Worship Ministry budget
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Preference is possession a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's Degree preferred)
• Significant experience in Worship Ministry
• Strong musical, creative, leadership, and relational skills
