At Sugarloaf Church we are in year two of church revitalization and have seen God work in awesome ways in our fellowship. Our present worship leader is transitioning back closer to family in upstate Florida at the end of this year. We are looking to bring a family in who is excited for a challenge and for the man to be co-vocational. At Sugarloaf Church we have adapted to our environment which is a 24/7 economy based around tourism, military, and service industry. We are also a snowbird location which balloons our church by 35% or more in the winter months.

This role is 15 hrs a week and you count Wednesday and Sunday as 2 hours each from those hours which leaves 11 hours weekly to invest in the ministry through creative outlets, avenues, and opportunities that arise and or are created.

We have an elder led model as well as a seasonal approach to ministry- Maybe you are transitioning from one ministry, and you want to serve until your next long or longer-term service is shown to you. We are not afraid to pray through 6mo-1yr commitments. We have a simple church model in our transient area that allows us to plug in servants, and you might like that. We do not try to keep people when God opens another door as can be found out by past staff who we had sending services for as they moved into the ministry God was preparing them for.

What would you do? Great question!

1. Lead our Sunday Worship by facilitating/leading/recruiting people from our church to lead.

-What does that look like presently? We currently do two hymns and a praise song with the option of a soloist during our offerings. We have a few soloists and are having a Christmas choir this year so you will have a pool to draw from.

2. Be an active part of other ministries where gifts align like on Wednesday nights you might help out in other places or possibly have practices if the need is there.

3. Be an encourager and unifier.

What we provide:

Housing in one of the highest cost of living areas in the country. We provide a private 2 or 3 room apartments on campus with private entry, kitchenette, and bathroom that is brand-new. We include the utilities and maintenance for it as well. Housing is the majority of our staffing structures compensation across the board. That is why we encourage co-vocation. We do have a $500 a month stipend as well as allow for self-funded of up to $20,000 if you have a sending church or network. We will support a variety of structures in regards to this position.
