Swift Creek Baptist Church is a demographically older, yet growing church. We are located just 20 minutes south of Richmond, and are very close to Virginia State University. We seek to make disciples in every opportunity that God gives us. Our aim is to live with Great Pursuit in the Great Commission that we might one day see the Great Multitude gathered in heaven.

Swift Creek Baptist Church is looking for someone to serve as our Part-Time Worship/Student Pastor. We do not currently have a Student Ministry, but we are hoping that this individual will help us in building one out, as there are many students nearby, but we have not adequately engaged them.

Minimum Qualifications

– Have a firm conviction that God has called them to the ministry, with good references to confirm this calling.

– Ordination status preferred.

– Meet the qualifications for a pastor, as outlined in Scripture (1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9)

– Possess the ability to interact with people from all walks of life courteously and effectively to establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with co-workers and members of the congregation.

– Be able to competently manage a budget.

– Possess the ability to recruit and train leadership, while planning organizing, and modifying a large, diverse Worship and Student Ministry.

– Possess the ability to utilize a team approach in planning.

– Demonstrate humility and willingness to learn, even as they seek to be a leader of people.

Annual Salary – $25,000 – $30,000
