FBC Macks Creek is seeking a bi-vocational pastor whose area of focus will be to lead the music ministry and the youth program. This individual will serve alongside the lead pastor to see the church grow to glorify Christ in all areas of life and reach the lost with the Gospel.

Qualifications

– A man who meets the qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.– Devoted to the ministry of prayer and the Word (Acts 6:4)– Passionate about discipleship within the church to see every member raised to maturity in Christ (Col. 1:28-29). Has the gifting and training to teach towards this end. – Passionate about the church being worshippers of God who worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23). Has gifting and training to lead corporate worship towards this goal. – Passionate about seeking the lost with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ (Rom. 1:16; 2 Tim. 4:5).– Has a track record of integrity and a reputation of faithfulness in the body of Christ. – Agrees with FBC's statement of faith and agrees to abide by the church covenant as a member of the church. – Has a firm knowledge of God's Word and a biblical philosophy of ministry and worship.

Responsibilities & Duties

– Personal life:A growing maturity in Christ that is marked by continually seeking to excel even more in their walk (1 Thess. 4:1) and growing in their knowledge of God.(if married) Devoted to his family, placing them as his first priority in a manner that is pleasing to God.

– Youth Ministry: The youth ministry at FBC has between 6 and 12 children, all of whom attend Macks Creek School. Provide regular Wednesday evening service for 7-12th graders. The focus will be on teaching the Christian faith and sharing the Gospel.Build positive relationships with the kids. Secure, train, and coordinate volunteers for the youth ministry.

– Music Ministry: FBC aims to reform our music ministry to bring revival to the church in our worship. We are seeking a passionate individual who is dedicated to glorifying the Lord through music and is committed to excellence in this area. Lead the song service on Sunday morning. The song selection is coordinated with the pastor to ensure that the songs are theologically rich and "singable" for the congregation. Leads weekly practice. Leads the transition to a blended song service. Has the ability to lead a hymn along with a simple contemporary style of music. Must be patient and charitable with our congregation in the transition.

– Pastoral ministry: Preaching and teaching opportunities will be available on Sunday mornings and evenings periodically.When able, works alongside the pastor to minister to the congregation. This could include house visits, hospital visits, funerals, and weddings. Meets with the Lead Pastor weekly to pray, grow, reflect, and seek the Lord's direction together.

– Time Commitment: Must devote adequate time each week to be faithful to the responsibilities outlined above.Required to attend Sunday and Wednesday services.
