Job Overview
Hope Fellowship Church in Jaffrey, NH, is seeking a dedicated and deeply relational individual to fill the pivotal role of Youth Director/Pastor. This comprehensive position encompasses the spiritual guidance and leadership of our key ministries, ranging from the foundational children's programs, through the formative middle school and high school years, and extending to the crucial development of our young adult community. We are seeking someone who possesses a genuine passion for nurturing faith in the next generation and building strong, meaningful relationships with both our youth and their families. This role is integral to our church's mission of fostering a supportive and engaging environment where young people can grow in their understanding of Christ, develop their spiritual gifts, and become active, contributing members of our church family and the wider community.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Youth & Young Adults
- Program Development: Create, lead, and teach Christ-centered weekly programs for middle school, high school, and young adults (ages 18–25).
- Discipleship & Mentorship: Build authentic relationships and provide spiritual guidance.
- Volunteer Team: Recruit and train leaders to support youth ministry.
- Events: Plan retreats, service projects, and social gatherings.
- Young Adult Engagement: Launch initiatives to foster fellowship and church involvement.
- Parent Communication: Keep parents informed and engaged in their children's spiritual growth.
- Collaboration: Work with other ministry leaders to align efforts church-wide.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to child protection policies and background checks.
Children's Ministry
- Oversee and Support: Sunday School and Kids' Church in alignment with the church's mission.
- Curriculum: Select and implement age-appropriate, biblically sound materials.
- Volunteer Development: Recruit, train, and schedule volunteer teachers.
- Events: Organize children's events
- Parent Communication: Keep parents informed and engaged in their children's spiritual growth.
- Collaboration: Work with other ministry leaders to align efforts church-wide.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to child protection policies and background checks.
Qualifications
- Committed follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for youth and young adult discipleship.
- A degree in a related field is preferred, but not required, for application.
- Experience in youth ministry, mentoring, or related roles preferred..
- Strong relational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Aligned with Hope Fellowship's mission and theological values.
- Must pass a background check and exhibit spiritual maturity and integrity.
