SUMMARY

The Youth and Young Adults Pastor at The Bridge Church will serve in a full-time capacity, leadingand supporting the church's student ministry (4:12) by providing leadership, guidance, andpastoral care to students and the volunteer leaders. He will also provide leadership for thegrowing Young Adults Ministry, helping the young adults integrate into the family at The Bridge.The Youth and Young Adults Pastor will have a broad range of pastoral and equippingopportunities, playing an important role as a shepherd and disciple- maker. This position reportsdirectly to the Lead Pastor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Agreement with the EFCA Statement of Faith and the mission and values of The Bridge. Exhibits consistent godly character as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
• A shepherding heart with a sincere love for people.
• A strong passion for seeing students love Jesus and follow Jesus.
• A hunger to equip volunteer leaders for their work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12). Ability to uphold and abide by the church's bylaws.
• Proven leadership experience in a ministry setting.
• Proficient with tools such as Planning Center, Google Applications, and Microsoft Office. A loyal team player who values collaboration and cooperation.
• Educational Requirement: A bachelor's degree.
• Commitment to serving in this role for at least five years.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the church's student ministry (4:12), which includes the followingcore responsibilities:
  • Plan curriculum and teach regularly on Wednesday nights. Provide pastoral care to students.
  • Partner with parents in discipling their kids.
  • Train and equip volunteer leaders.
  • Oversee special events, including retreats or mission trips.
• Lead and oversee the church's Young Adults Ministry
• • Lead a team of volunteers who run monthly community-building events.
  • Empower and equip Growth Group leaders who lead groups targeting young adults. Coordinate an annual retreat for young adults.
  • Provide pastoral care for young adults.
• Occasionally lead worship or preach during Sunday services as needed.
• Build and cultivate intentional shepherding relationships with church members to foster spiritualgrowth and community.
• Provide pastoral care in various contexts, including counseling, discipleship, hospital visits, weddings, and funerals.
• Eager to pursue licensing in the EFCA within two years.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
