Job Overview

Responsibilities: ● Planning, organizing, and executing the teaching curriculum for the Student Ministry, including training and equipping others to teach the teenagers. ● Identifying and equipping leaders from within the church body to help disciple teenagers. ● Plan, administrate, and execute meaningful events for the teenagers' spiritual growth (including, but not limited to, retreats, outreach events, missions trips, etc.). ● Help ingrain the teenagers of Grace into the broader participation in the church body. ● Encouraging and praying for the parents of teenagers at Grace.

Job Description

Skills Needed: ● A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of biblical truth and the ability to communicate it clearly. ● An energetic spirit. ● A welcoming, hospitable attitude. ● Basic administrative and organizational skills. ● Ability to delegate and share responsibility, empowering others to serve.

Expectations: ● Full agreement with the Charis Commitment to Common Identity and willingness to teach within its stated perimeters. ● Availability for Tuesday morning staff meetings (9:30-10:30am), Wednesday night Youth Group meeting (6:30-8pm), and Sunday mornings (8:30-12pm). ● A heart for teenagers to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and identify their spiritual giftedness. ● This position would need to rely heavily on a volunteer team.
