Job Overview

Grace Hill Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Director to spearhead our growing youth ministry in Herndon, Virginia. The Youth Director will work within the mission and vision of Grace Hill Church by leading a Youth Ministry aligned with our church philosophy of creating healthy relationships and safe spaces to be known. The Youth Director will lead a Biblically robust and culturally relevant youth ministry aimed at both discipling youth within the church and reaching youth outside of the church. 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Spiritual Leadership – Pursue ministry and leadership growth under the Pastoral Team.

1. 1. Growing relationship with the Lord, pursuit of emotional and spiritual health
   2. Meet with the Pastoral Team on a regular basis for spiritual, vocational, and personal development.
   3. Work towards goals in a Development Plan.
   4. Attend conferences, engage in intentional study, and receive coaching from ministry mentors.

• Youth Leadership – Build a youth program that seeks to form students into mature disciples at Grace Hill Church. 

1. 1. 1. Lead a weekly youth Bible Study on Sunday mornings. 
      2. Lead a weekly youth night with engaging activities and biblically relevant teaching.
      3. Meet with students for discipleship and care on a regular basis.
      4. Be where the youth are to develop relationships – sporting events, school events, etc.

• Engage with Young Life as a vital ministry partner.

• Church-Wide Leadership – Under the leadership of the Pastoral Team, assist in executing the broader mission and vision of Grace Hill Church.

1. 1. 1. Recruit, develop & lead a co-ed, diverse, volunteer team of adults from Grace Hill to engage the youth as mentors.

• Meet with church pastors & staff weekly to assist with management tasks.

• Engage, meet with and support families.

• Youth Program Administration  

1. 1. Communication
      1. Produce GHC Youth roster
      2. Send regular email updates to parents and staff
      3. Manage GHC Youth social media
      4. Produce graphics and flyers for events

1. Personal Fundraising
   1. Provide updates for personal donors
   2. Track donor gifts
