Youth Director (Full-Time)

The Youth Director shall foster Christian community through building relationships with young people and their families to strengthen their commitment to Jesus Christ enabling them to make God honoring decisions.

Position Qualifications:

• Strong Christian character with demonstrated leadership qualities
• Ability to lead people to Christ through sharing of the Gospel and their own testimony
• Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with Staff
• Self-starter who takes initiative to find opportunities to attract youth to NCFC

Position Profile:

• Attract and grow youth ministry through sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and continue to develop youth through discipleshipProvide leadership for and function as the primary staff person for youth ministry.
• Oversee the recruitment and training of adult volunteers to work with middle and high school age groups.
• Select curriculum to be taught in youth life group and Wednesday services
• Plan and implement age appropriate activities for middle and high school age youth that promotes community through fellowship, fun, and faith development
• Work with church staff and elder board on youth ministry annual budget
• Coordinate yearly youth camp and mission trips
• Promote Christian service through age appropriate service projects

Position Responsibilities:

• Attend weekly staff meetings, monthly youth ministry meetings, and any other meeting required by the supervising pastor
• Meet regularly with supervising pastor, as needed, at a time mutually agreed upon
• Coordinate youth activities with other ministries of the congregation in cooperation with staff
• Be in contact with office staff and provide a timely accurate schedule of youth activities.
• Keep church congregation informed of youth events by coordinating the publicity for youth activities through appropriate methods provided by the church (ie monthly newsletter, special mailings, posters, bulletin announcements, web page, social media, etc)

These qualifications are based on 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-3, and Titus 1:5-9. They are based on a man's fundamental relationship with God, His Word, self, family, and others.
