Job Title: Part-Time Youth Director

Church: West Side Church of the Nazarene

Location: Wichita, KS

Hours: 15-20 hours per week

West Side Church of the Nazarene in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Youth Director to nurture the spiritual growth of our middle and high school students. Our church of approximately 100 members values biblical teaching, community, and discipleship. The Youth Director will be responsible for developing and leading programs that inspire and engage young people in their faith journey.

Responsibilities

· Implement a Christ-centered youth ministry program for middle and high school students.

· Plan and lead youth group meetings, Bible studies, special events and summer camps.

· Encourage youth participation in worship services, mission opportunities, and church events.

· Provide spiritual guidance, mentorship, and pastoral care to youth and their families.

· Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to assist with youth ministry activities.

· Communicate regularly with parents, church leadership, and the congregation about youth ministry initiatives.

· Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all youth ministry events.

· Collaborate with church staff and leadership to align youth ministry with the overall vision of the church.

Qualifications

· A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to biblical teaching.

· Experience in youth ministry, mentoring, or teaching in a church or faith-based setting preferred.

· Ability to build relationships with young people and create engaging, relevant programming.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Willingness to work within the beliefs and mission of the Church of the Nazarene.

· Ability to pass a background check.
