Job Title:

Youth Internships: Hillsborough Parish Church (Anglican)

Job Description:

We wish to appoint 3 passionate Youth Ministry Interns to live in church-provided housing and join our team for a year. You'll help lead weekly youth programs, support Sunday ministry, invest in and disciple the spiritual lives of teens in a vibrant church community.

PURPOSE:

To disciple and mentor youth in their walk with Christ by building relationships, leading Bible studies, and helping them grow in faith within a vibrant Anglican church community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To build relationships with individual young people; to organise sporting & social events; to prepare and lead Bible studies; to lead worship; and so help facilitate young people encountering Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

Dates: Sept 1, 2025 – Aug 30, 2026 (arrive late Aug for orientation)

• Weekly mentorship and ministry team meetings
• One day of theological study per week with Dr. Follis
• 2 days off weekly + 4 weeks of vacation
• Police background check required

As this post will be held on a Volunteer Visa, a salary cannot be paid but the church will provide a house and a subsistence allowance for food. Due to the nature of this post, it will be necessary to secure support from family/friends or from your home church family.
